Ultra Compact Utility Tool That Combines a Dual Inverter and Precision Adder
IPT is a compact utility that handles two fundamental patching tasks: inverting and adding signals.
The top section is a dual inverter, designed to flip the polarity of CV or audio. It can turn a rising envelope into a falling one, which is useful for creating mirrored modulation movements. The input of channel A is normalized to B, allowing a single source to generate two inverted outputs without any extra patch cables.
Below the inverters is a two-channel precision adder. It's a simple mixer with unity gain for combining signals. Use it to merge two CV sources for more complex modulation or to sum audio signals.
Both of these essential functions are packed into a slim 2HP panel, making the IPT a space-saving and direct solution for common patching needs.
Features:
Dual Inverter
Precision Adder (2-in, 1-out mixer with unity gain)
Inverter channel A is normalized to channel B
Outputs for inverters A and B
A short note about Precision Adders:
Precision Adders maintain perfect unity gain, which matters when summing pitch CVs. Regular mixers can introduce small attenuation or amplification errors that throw oscillators out of tune.
