MIDI to 4 Digital and 4 PWM Outputs
David Haillant's MIDI8d+ is a simple and powerful 4 Digital + 4 PWM Outputs from a MIDI TRS input connection.
The core of the MIDI8d+ is the classic Arduino Nano.
Many different firmwares (Arduino sketches) can be uploaded, to adapt or completely modify the behaviour.
Typical uses are 8 Drums outputs, reacting to MIDI Channel 10 (notes 36 to 43) or MIDI Clock ticks.
The 4 PWM outputs can produce analog CV etween 0 and 5 Volts. But please keep in mind that the analog conversion is done through PWM. Even filtered, PWM isn't recommended for VCO or precise CV needs.
However, These CV can be used for amplitude (VCA), VCF (in some extent, see limitations) and all CV where precise voltage isn't required.
The 4 other outputs are only digital: 0 or 5V. Nothing in between.
If you need 8 digital outputs, please check the MIDI8d. https://www.modulargrid.net/e/electronic-things-and-stuff-midi8d
