You can even control the oscillators frequency which ranges from 10 Hz to 10 kHz and from 0.03 Hz to 30 Hz when the 2600-VCO is switched to LF mode. The VCO can also be tuned to other instruments or VCOs with the Fine Tune knob. The original 2600 came out in the '70s and was a mainly all discrete transistor design with some op-amps. The discrete circuitry gave the 2600 a very distinctive sound and were used by artists like Jean Michel Jarre, Depeche Mode, Stevie Wonder and so many more. The 2600-VCO is a compact and versatile module, giving you a VCO featuring four simultaneous waveforms with the ability to control a wide frequency band for amazing flexibility. Modular synths were a landmark development in electronic music and today, it’s about to get better.
