Available as an assembled Module and as a DIY project.
This Module is a prototype or in a concept phase.
Audio Application Framework
THE NUCLEUS SYSTEM
THE SYSTEM
The system consist of three parts:
1. The module, a 26HP eurorack module.
2. Cortex 1.0™, a 14-bit communication protocol.
3. CORE software, a software file that determines the functionality of the module.
THE MODULE
A 26HP eurorack module with four 3.3V gate I/O, four channels of CorteX I/O and two channels of audio I/O. The user interface consists of a 2.2" TFT, two rotary encoders for setting parameter and values and four real-time analog performance controllers. Connections are made using standard 3.5mm mono cables.
CORTEX 1.0™
A 14-bit asynchronous serial communication protocol for microcontroller units (MCUs) used in modular synthesis. Each transmission consists of two bytes. Each of these bytes have a control bit that tell the receiving end if the byte is high or low.
CORE SOFTWARE
The Nucleus system is all about flexibility.
A CORE is the software "heart" of each Nucleus module and each module can be flashed with any CORE. Currently available COREs are:
GERMANIUM Synthesizer Module (requires audio adapter).
MERCURY Function Generator.
MAGNESIUM Sequencer.
PHOSPHORUS Polysynth Module (requires audio adapter).
