CSBA CV Source, Buffer & CV Amplifier
The CSBA is an CV Interface to all CV Systems -10V to +10V with or without amplification.
Different CV systems can be connected to each other with this module or it serves as a CV source for other modules. The CSBA2 is a 2-channel CV amplifier that can amplify control voltages x1, x10 or x100. The amplification factor and the DC voltage position (offset) can be set separately for each channel. The CV output can be set to an offset of maximum -10V to +10V. If a CV is applied to the input, it is added to the offset setting according to the gain setting. If the +-10V working range is exceeded as a result, clipping occurs.
In this way, control voltages from external devices can be adapted to the 0-10V CV range of other modules.
The CSBA2 module can process the modulation voltage in a ratio of 1:1 or be configured via jumpers on the back to gains of 1:10 or 1:100. In this way, even weaker signals can be adapted to the control voltage level (0-10V) of the Eurorack standard.
The CSBA2 can be operated as a 2-channel "Audio in CV" converter or as a CV amplifier.
All controllers work linearly. If the modulation (signal * gain) exceeds the CV output range of +-10V, the output signal is "clipped". In this way, a hard distortion sound can be produced.
