4 Variable frequency resonators from the ARP 2700
THE CMS 1015 QUAD RESONATOR MODULE USES RESONATOR CIRCUITS BASED ON THE DISTINCTIVE SOUNDING RESONATORS USED IN THE ARP 2700 SOLOIST. THE FREQUENCY OF EACH RESONATOR IS NOT VOLTAGE CONTROLLED ON PURPOSE. THIS MODULE IS DESIGNED TO SIMULATE RESONANT ENCLOSURES OFTEN FOUND ON TRADITIONAL INSTRUMENTS. IT IS ALSO USEFUL FOR GETTING UNUSUAL SOUNDING SYNTHESIZER TONALITIES. AN ACCURATE DESCRIPTION OF THE SOUND WOULD BE A MORE POWERFUL MOOG FIXED FILTER BANK WITH MANUALLY VARIABLE FREQUENCIES AND RESONANCE.
THERE IS A INPUT DRIVE CONTROL. THERE ARE INDIVIDUAL RESONANCE SETTINGS FOR EACH BAND. EACH BAND HAS A DIFFERENT FREQUENCY RANGE WITH A MANUALLY VARIABLE FREQUENCY. EACH BAND FEEDS A 4 INPUT HIGH QUALITY AUDIO MIXER THAT LETS YOU PRECISELY MIX THE RELATIONSHIPS OF EACH RESONATOR. THE FINAL OUTPUT MIX IS CONTROLLED BY A SINGLE CONTROL THAT MIXES THE DRY INPUT SIGNAL AND THE RESONATOR MIX IN ANY PROPORTION. THERE IS A PHASE SWITCH THAT INVERTS THE PHASE OF THE SECOND AND FOURTH RESONATORS FOR ADDED TONALITIES.
FOR GUITARISTS, IT MAKES AN EXCELLENT SPEAKER SIMULATOR AND TONE SHAPER. THIS MODULE IS VERY USEFUL POST DISTORTION OR FUZZ PRODUCING SOME INCREDIBLE AND UNIQUE SOUNDING GUITAR TONES. WE ARE OBVIOUSLY CONSIDERING MAKING A PEDAL VERSION.
