re-imagining of the voltage controlled amplifier from the ARP 4019 module of 1971
This 12HP module is a re-imagining of the voltage controlled amplifier from the ARP 4019 module of 1971. The discrete transistor VCA has a distinctive warm tone.
DESCRIPTION The AM1019 has been carefully engineered to be the ultimate replication of the original voltage controlled amplifier:
Large number of inputs (3x audio, 4x CV), to mirror the matrix switch capability
5% carbon resistors in all CV and audio inputs
Three audio inouts, one of which is inverted
LED illuminted push buttons for AC blocking on audio inputs
Linear and exponential CV inputs operate in parallel
ARP 2500 control knobs with coloured spun aluminium inlays (Rogan RB-67)
Black and silver phenolic control knob for VCA gain control
Bourns PTL20 LED slide pots with subtle amber LED;s
Subtle pink LED for volume level
The AM1019 creates beautiful warm sounds from the vintage VCA and has an amazing new aluminum printed front panel design. Operating as an audio VCA with the blocking capacitors engaged, or for CV signal manipulation with the blocking capacitors removed.
CONNECTIONS There are seven 3.5 mm jack sockets on the anodised aluminium front panel:
IN 1, 2 & 3 - audio signal inputs with individual level controls
CV 1 and C2 - control voltages inputs for linear amplitude contol (with attenuation)
CV 3 - control voltage input for exponential amplitude control (with attentuator)
CV4 - control voltage inputs for exponential amplitude control
OUTPUT - audio signal output with LED indicator
There are high quality Alpha rotary potentiometers for adjusting amplifier gain, and the three signal input levels, along with Bourns LED slide potentiometers for amplitude control from CV 1, CV2 and CV3 inputs.
The module comes with a set of M3 mounting screws and washers, and a standard 10 to 16-way Doepfer power cable.
These merchants probably sell this module. Huh?
