AM1013 Octave Fixed Filter Bank

Eight 12dB Band Pass filters in parallel - with mixed and individual outputs

The AM1013 is a 14HP module that re-imagines one of the "lost" ARP modules of the 2500 modular synthesizer. ARP announced the module as "COMING SOON" in 1970 - the 50 year wait is now over! The AMSynths module fills in a gap of synthesizer history for Eurorack with an awesome sounding module.

The AM1013 is based on contemporary Op Amp based filter bank designs, such as the EMS Eight Octave Bank from 1971 that was in the Synthi 100. Each band has a 12dB high pass filter in series with a 12dB low pass filter to create eight band pass filters. Each filter has a fixed Q of 5.0 with the fixed frequency bands spaced accurately at one octave apart from 63Hz to 8kHz.

The eight filter outputs are mixed into a single output with two jack sockets. Each filter can be adjusted for level, as well as the module input and output levels, with Alpha front panel potentiometers.

High quality WIMA polypropylene capacitors have been used to ensure a beautiful sounding filter. and the module has ARP 2500 style control knobs in silver, green and gold.
