Built in the USA and engineered from the ground up by Brian Wampler, the Sovereign Distortion is one of the most versatile and tonally transparent high-gain pedals on the market. Rather than emulating an existing circuit, Wampler designed the Sovereign to improve on all of them — and it delivers on that promise. Volume, Mid Contour, Tone, and Gain controls give you deep shaping ability across a huge range of gain levels, while the Modern/Vintage toggle shifts the overall character from tight and aggressive to warm and organic, and the Boost/Gain toggle adds a second layer of gain staging flexibility. The result is a pedal that can credibly cover classic crunch, modern high-gain, and everything in between without losing touch sensitivity or clarity. Built in the USA with hand-selected film capacitors and resistors.
