At its heart sits a real ECC83 preamp tube running at over 250V internally, exactly like a valve amplifier, delivering the kind of organic warmth, sag, and harmonic complexity that solid-state boost circuits simply cannot replicate. The Class A gain stage combined with the legendary passive James-Baxandall EQ — with independent Low and High controls — lets you dial in everything from a dead-flat transparent clean boost to a richly shaped tonal push that transforms the front end of any amp. A built-in buffer and line driver preserve your signal integrity across long cable runs and complex pedalboards. Despite running a full high-voltage valve circuit, it powers from a standard 9V DC supply — the included power adapter handles the rest. This example is in excellent condition and comes complete with the original box and power supply.
