EASY $5 3PDT FIX —I'm not good with a soldering iron and I've been wanting to sell it to afford a Jackson Audio Hour Glass anyway.Up for sale is a legendary Diamond Comp Jr optical guitar compressor in the classic yellow enclosure. The internal optical compression circuit is 100% healthy, sounds incredible, and the LED illuminates perfectly.The physical 3PDT mechanical stomp switch is failing internally.The audio cuts out completely or sounds heavily choked/gated when engaged, requiring 3–4 extra stomp presses to fully lock the connection and bring the audio back to full strength.This is a very common, straightforward fix for anyone handy with a soldering iron who wants to swap in a standard $5 replacement switch.Aside from the mechanical switch issue, the pedal is in very good shape with some ghost marks of sharpie i failed to remove and the backing sticker came off at some point when I took the Velcro off to try to clean it - (used on a pedalboard)Selling completely as-is for repair.
