Look up onMr. Black Shepard's End is the world's first "barber pole through-zero flanger." Shepard's End is a flanger pedal, but it is completely different from other flangers. A barber pole is the red, white, and blue spiral pole found in barbershops and similar establishments. As the barber pole rotates, it appears as though red and blue ribbons are constantly rising upward. In other words, unlike many flangers that move in a cyclical pattern, Shepard's End has no beginning or end to its cycle. Shepard's End does not sweep up and down like a typical flanger. Once it goes up, it stays up; once it goes down, it stays down. You can also create a zero-point flanger effect, similar to what you might hear on old records. These can be easily set with a single knob. Furthermore, Shepard's End allows you to set the sound to positive (like a phaser) or negative (a sound that seems to be sucked in) using the REGEN (regeneration/feedback) control. Externally, there are scattered minor scratches and dirt from normal use, but there are no operational issues.
