Big Muff Pi, made in Russia, Sovtek era. A doom classic.This is actually the V8, NOT V7 (more specifically the V7d which is the big box black russian, exact same internals as the tall, bubble font russians or the civil war circuits)This is the first iteration of the V8, the four screw, as opposed to the later six screw, only real difference is the quality of the enclosure, some will argue the six screw will sound different but as all these units, there will be individual differences/tolerances reflecting in the sound.Sounds killer and are known as the bass big muffs for the far friendlier frequency range, unlike most big muffs which basically kill all mids to get their sound, these will boost low end the lower you go on the tone pot.Built like a russian tank and sounds huge but I'm gearing towards getting a green russian instead, works 100% as it should no scratchy pots/jacks, just cosmetic wear with the lettering faded in some sections.Please inspect photos carefully.
