Look up onFirst thing, please note this mod was not done by Brian Wampler or Wampler Pedals. This mod was done per Brian Wampler’s “How to Modify Guitar Pedals” book. I build and mod pedals for myself as a hobbyist and I have a few pedals that I just don’t use anymore that I would rather be used then collect dust. This DS-1 has the JCM800 Marshall mod with the additional gain mod to give it more distortion range. It gives the pedal a lot more of an open sound and has a lot more distortion on tap (the first 50% is the full range of a standard DS-1). It’s a rather extensive mod and I used all high end box film caps, and 1% metal film resistors. Again I am a hobbyist. I do not professionally mod or build pedals for a living. I can guarantee that the pedal is fully functional and my work is clean. This was my pedal and I do not take shortcuts on work that is going on my rig. All the pots have been cleaned and lubricated. I also added Marshall knobs so I could differentiate between the stock and modded pedal. I think it looks cool. Thanks for looking!
