Unlike modern "emulation" pedals, the original Heil design functions as a high-powered speaker in a metal box that redirects your amplifier's signal through a plastic tube into your mouth. SPECS: Serial #  AA87R939 Unique Operation: It is not a standard stompbox; it must be connected between your amplifier's speaker output and the speaker cabinet. Components: It features a phenolic diaphragm speaker (often a 100-watt driver) housed in a sturdy metal casing. Signal Path: The sound travels up a 6.5-foot surgical-grade tube. You shape the sound by moving your mouth (without using your vocal cords), and a vocal microphone picks up the resulting "talking" guitar sound for the PA system.
