Released in 1998, this first generation Mudhoney was handcrafted in Denmark, boasting premium components and the rare dinosaur logo only found on early iterations. Based on the enduringly popular ProCo Rat circuit, this boutique distortion stompbox houses an OP07CP chip at its center, responsible for producing the iconic crunch, sizzle, and cut characteristic of that initial design. The intuitive controls include Gain, Level, and Tone knobs, with a unique Boost button that toggles between moderate and high gain channels for an expansive range of tonal options. There are just a few marks on the enclosure, and the graphics are pristine. The original knobs and quartet of rubber feet are also present.
