Kevin Shields, a pioneer of effects-heavy guitar tones and a major influence on the music scene, stunned the world with his iconic fuzz sound and defined the sound of alternative rock from the 1980s through the 1990s. For this project, Kevin chose the original Fender? Blender pedal, beloved for its dynamic response and powerful fuzz.Through more than four years of collaborative development, Fender and Kevin have revived this legendary f70s fuzz, updated its features, and created an entirely new Fender Shields Blender. The Fender Shields Blender reproduces the tone of Kevinfs own vintage 1970s Fender Blender by meticulously hand-tracing the circuitry of his unique fuzz box. Built upon this vintage circuit, it offers entirely new ways to control and blend the original fuzz voice, designed with practical performance in mind using four easily accessible footswitches.The two fuzz channels, switchable via footswitch, each feature a dedicated level control, allowing you to blend the fuzz voice with a clean signal or mix in a powerful sub-octave fuzz. Additionally, the SAG footswitch lets you control everything based on your playing dynamics, delivering unprecedented sputtering and ducking effects.
