Most accessories ship FREE when added to the purchase of another item from our shop! ***This Benson Germanium Fuzz uses two matched germanium 2N527 or 2N404 transistors in a classic 60s circular fuzz topology. It features automatic thermal bias technology that gently warms the transistors for consistent tone regardless of temperature changes—LED goes amber while warming, green when ready. Takes 2-3 minutes after power-up to stabilize, which is normal.Controls are Volume, Gain, and Impedance. Impedance simulates rolling back your guitar's volume for tight, sparkly tones and works after buffers thanks to the front-end class A buffer and pickup simulator. Gain ranges from clean boost to overdrive to full fuzz with octave overtones—more of a "pretty" 60s-70s rock fuzz than harsh or spitty. Power with 9VDC center-negative only, draws up to 100mA. Operates best from freezing to 100°F, up to 120°F max before germanium cuts out.SpecificationsPower: 9VDC center-negative, <100mAControls: Volume, Gain, ImpedanceAutomatic thermal bias with LED indicator (amber warming, green ready)Internal factory-set trimmer (do not adjust)2-3 minute warm-up after power-onConditionThis item has been tested and is in good working condition.
