Boss CE-2 Chorus — Silver Screw, Long Dash, Made in Japan — Good / Fair Condition, Fully Working This is one of the most collectible and sought-after versions of the CE-2: the long dash variant, with the "CE" positioned under the "U" of "Chorus" followed by a long dash, and the silver screw retaining the battery compartment — both features that predate the more common later versions. Early models like this one use the Panasonic MN3007/MN3101 bucket brigade device (BBD) chips, which many consider responsible for the pedal's distinctive signature sound — warmer and more fluid than later iterations. It's fully analogue, fully working, and sounds exactly like it should. Condition — fair This pedal has lived a life. There are chips and dings to the paint consistent with heavy use or age, and the internal battery clip is broken — meaning battery power is non-functional. It runs perfectly via Boss ACA adapter. Tested and confirmed working. All controls respond correctly, effect sounds great. Silver screw (not the later black thumbscrew) Long dash logo — earliest production identifier Made in Japan, black label All-analogue BBD chorus circuit Just two knobs: Rate and Depth — simple, musical, and impossible to dial in badly Known issues: Chips and dings to enclosure paint — cosmetic onlyBattery clip broken — use 9V DC adapter onlyNo box, no paperwork
