True bypass circuitry is employed. The V846-HW is not merely a reissue of the original V846. To meet the needs of modern guitarists, it incorporates a new true bypass circuit. This minimizes any impact on sound quality, such as the loss of tone when the wah pedal is off. Vintage-spec inductors and pots bring the legendary sound back to life. For the inductor?the heart of the wah pedal?wefve adopted a specially voiced, vintage-spec Halo-type inductor. By carefully selecting magnetic materials and paying close attention to the winding method, wefve perfectly recreated the V846 wah sound sought after by guitarists worldwide. Additionally, the potentiometer uses a VOX original sealed-type unit, known for its durability and unique curve characteristics. Thanks to its smooth curve, it responds sensitively even at the position just before the pedal is fully depressed?a point where control was difficult with standard wah pedals?enabling the V846-HW to offer unprecedented precision. Every component has been meticulously selected to maximize the wah pedalfs potential. For the carbon composite resistors, wefve selected components manufactured entirely in Japan by Kamaya Electric. These produce a sound with exceptional clarity and minimal noise. The footswitch utilizes premium parts from Curling, renowned for their durability and superior feel. For the jack, wefve chosen Switchcraft jacks, which have earned a reputation for reliability thanks to their solid fit, simple construction, and robust build quality.Furthermore, like the VOX Hand-Wired series amplifiers, wefve incorporated high-grade polyester film capacitors.
