Vanborn Vintage Guitars presents ...This is not a stock TS-10.This Japanese-made Ibanez TS-10 Tube Screamer Classic (1986–1990) has been modified to address the known structural weaknesses of the original design while significantly expanding its tonal range.The result is a road-ready, versatile TS-10 built for real-world professional use rather than collector display.Among the mods is a 3-way toggle switch offers three distinct John Mayer-inspired voicings:• Stock TS-10Preserves the original TS-10 character.• TS-10 + Klon-style gain stage (series)More gain, more body, and richer harmonic content — similar to stacking a TS-10 into a Klon Centaur. noticeably more gain and volume than a Stock TS10• Cleanish Boost mode (Keeley Katana-style)A transparent, dynamic boost with minimal coloration, well suited for always-on use or solo lift.This voicing philosophy is often referred to as a “John Mayer style” mod, covering a wide range of expressive low- to mid-gain tones.Inside the pedal it has options for adjusment (mini toggle + the chip). The pedal arrived perfectly dialed in and has been used for years without any need for further tweaking. the modder set it up for "Continuum" with a hint "Mayer Trio" eraOriginal TS-10 pedals are well known for a few weak points: Fragile original footswitch, dim original LED with poor visibility on dark stages ... Input, output, and power jacks mounted directly to the PCB and prone to breaking.To fix this: the original PCB has been altered and the circuit has been consolidated and fully gooped, with point-to-point wiring and a chassis-mounted input, output, and power jacks for improved long-term reliability.Key upgrades include:Original Master Series footswitch replaced with a 3PDT footswitch (advised to be replaced for a new true bypass switch, as this one still has bypass coloration & crackle, this is accounted for in the asking price + the including of the One Control Loop Box)Input, output, and DC jacks removed from the PCB and chassis-mountedFully gooped circuit to protect components and ensure stabilityBright blue LED for improved visibility on dark stages or in rack setupsTogether, these modifications make this TS-10 significantly more reliable and road-ready than an unmodified example.To provide a true-bypass operation (because of the 3PDT Footswitch), this listing includes a One Control Minimal Series 1 Loop Box (OC-M-1L) This allows you to place the TS-10 in a true bypass loop and engage or remove it from your signal path completly and instantly.
