Killer pedal with the coveted JRC4558D Chip. It's missing the back sticker but I've got another Made in Japan as well as a Made in Taiwan version here and the inside looks more like the Japanese pedal with the blue ribbon cable vs the Taiwanese with the more white ribbon. Other components also look more similar. That said, it's hard to guarantee these things.As far as sound, all three of mine sound slightly different. I'd kept the Taiwanese pedal over a Japanese pedal a number of years back as it had more low end - the Japanese labeled pedal I have now has more high end and a bit more hair. This one sits in the middle of the two. It sounds crazy good and I would be thrilled to have any of the three. I may be listing the Taiwanese pedal in the coming days, but for now, I'd like to keep the two that sound more dissimilar. Super clean, really awesome unit!
