From classic Whammy sounds to creating entirely new Whammy playing styles The Whammy Ricochet bounces the pitch of your played phrases up or down. You can freely adjust it to be either tightly controlled or completely wild.Whammy Ricochet is a groundbreaking Whammy switch that eliminates the need for the large pedal movements required by previous Whammy series models. By implementing highly flexible pitch control via a switch, it successfully packs all the functions of a traditional Whammy pedal into an extremely compact chassis. Use the PITCH knob to select your preferred pitch interval from seven options (2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 1 Octave, 2 Octaves, 1 Octave + Dry), and use the RANGE switch to determine whether to bend up or down. Turn the MOMENTARY switch ON, and youfre ready to go.From there, simply press the footswitch to smoothly bend up or down just like a traditional Whammy, and release the footswitch to smoothly return to the original pitch. You can also select a latching mode (MOMENTARY switch OFF) where a standard footswitch is pressed once to turn it on and pressed again to turn it off.Additionally, by adjusting the BALLISTICS knob, you can customize the time it takes to reach the target pitch and the time it takes to return to the original note. The TRAJECTORY LED displays the pitch trajectory, allowing you to see exactly what Ricochet is doing. You can choose between the Classic mode, which specializes in fast-responding single notes, and the Chords mode, which allows you to bend while maintaining chords. This makes it possible to create everything from traditional Whammy sounds to entirely new Whammy playing styles.
