If you're looking at this, you most likely know what is :) Based on the low serial number, it is likely a 1974'. Sounds truly amazing. Everything functional, In excellent working condition, with minor scuffing and scratches(see pics) for a 74'--no major dents. comes with original footswitch. Footswitch has four screw holes on the bottom (see pics) that where used to anchor it to a pedal board, but in no way compromise functionality. Otherwise, sold as is.History...... Mu-tron (short for Musictronics) developed a series of highly innovative effects throughout the '70s, including the popular Mu-Tron III envelope filter. The Mu-tron Bi-Phase was a two channel Phase shifter with two "Sweep Generator" sections. This pedal was made with either a two-button or an optical pedal. The optical option is worth slightly more. Years of Production: ca. 1972 - 1981Described as the world's first dual phasor, the Mu-Tron Bi-Phase consists of two separate 6 stage phasers and two corresponding oscillators. Each circuit contains some additional tonal controls, allowing for versatility and person in generating this unique effect. Includes an A/B footswitch to activate both phase circuits and three different paper instruction sheets, outlining how the user can create two speed, super, and/or stereo sweeping effects.Specs...Brand: Mu-TronModel: Bi-PhaseSerial: 01331Type: Flange/PhasePower Supply: 110–120 V AC, 60 Hz, 15 VATrue Bypass/Buffer: Buffered BypassIns/Outs: 2 x 1/4" Inputs, 2 x 1/4" OutputsStereo/Mono: StereoAccessories Included: A/B Footswitch
