Look up onVintage Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive pedal, circa 1982 early production. Features the highly sought-after JRC4558DD op-amp chip (Japan Radio Corporation), original ACA adapter sticker on face, black Made in Japan label on rear, and 'Products of Roland' label (serial worn off/faded) — all hallmarks of the earliest SD-1 production runs. PCB revision ET5212-510B confirms early manufacture. Pedal works and functions as intended. Shows age-appropriate cosmetic wear consistent with a 40+ year old unit. "Drive" knob replaced at one point - tape underneath to help fit snug.These were designed to be powered only by a 9V battery, or 12V Boss adapter. A normal 9V will give it a weak signal, indicated by a dim LED. Actual item pictured. Includes pedal only.
