Look up onThe black Russian Big Muff Pi (V7) was made in St. Petersburg, Russia, roughly 1998–2000. This pedal delivers a thick, saturated fuzz tone you've heard on countless records. I used it mostly on bass, but it's equally awesome on guitar. If you know what it is, you probably know what it sounds like. Among its most well known users are Chris Wolstenholme (Muse), Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys), and John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers), to name a few. Please note the battery compartment cover is missing. I bought it like this. I didn't care, and I thought the previous owner's duct tape solution was hilarious (that's the original, vintage duct tape, if you must know - jk). I didn't plan on ever selling the pedal so it didn't matter to me. I wouldn't be selling it now, but I switch to a Geddy Lee YYZ Shapeshifter pedal, which better suits my style and the bass I'm playing now. I'd rather the pedal be in the hands of someone who'll use it than sitting in my home studio gathering dust as it casts the stink-eye at my YYZ pedal.Features:Classic three-knob layout (Volume, Tone, Sustain) for intuitive control.Battery compartment for 9 V battery for portable / pedal-board flexibility.Robust build typical of the Sovtek era: designed to take gigging abuse and still deliver that fat fuzz tone.
