Look up onUp for sale is a rare, early-production Ibanez TS9 from 1982. This isn't a reissue—it’s a genuine first-year vintage unit. It features the JRC2043DD chip (Date code 2003 = Jan 1982), which was used in some of the earliest TS9s. Great vintage growl and much more collectible than the later 80s silver-label versions.
The Specs:
Chip: Original JRC2043DD (Batch Code: 2003).
Date: The date code confirms the internal components were manufactured in the 3rd week of 1982, making this one of the earliest TS9s to ever leave the Maxon factory.
Tone: The 2043DD chip is known for having a slightly broader frequency response and a bit more "bite" than the standard 4558, perfect for cutting through a mix.
Condition: [Insert condition here—e.g., "Original battery door intact, standard road wear for a 40-year-old pedal, works perfectly."]
Why this one? Most TS9s on the market are later 80s models or modern reissues. This is a first-year transition unit from the era when Ibanez was still perfecting the circuit after moving on from the TS808.
