In amazing condition for its age. This is one of 4 pedals in the new compact size editions that Boss introduced in 1978. The previous (original) three introduced in November of '77 were the PH-1, the SP-1 and the OD-1. The CS-1 is an optical compressor that has wonderful tone and response, from soft to staccato. And the tone switch is super useful. The Normal side is a very full mids response, but the Treble side is like a combination of compressor and Rangemaster - perfect for a boosted lead that will easily cut through the mix. This is all original, except for the 9v mod which ensures this works optimally with modern 9v adapters. And, it comes with the original box (which clearly has some wear). Has all that old Boss pedal candy: silver screw, clear switch, hard paper insulator, washers on bottom plate screws, that wonderful momentary LED, 4-digit stamped production code (8300 for June of '79). Great for a collection, but also a super useful tool on a board or in the studio.
