Look up onThe HR-2 seems to be Boss/Roland's response to the Whammy, but without the expression pedal part. Lets you dial in two separate harmonic mirrors to your signal - an octave up and down, and then detune in all kinds of interesting ways. You see the "Detector In" jack - that is for those who will be using this with a "heavy" signal, meaning putting fuzz/distortion/strong overdrive in front of the effect. This allows you to (by splitting the guitar input signal) run a clean guitar signal into the HR-2 for better, more accurate tracking. The clean Detector signal is only used for tracking - it does not come back out. It can be a useful tool, and unique to Boss at the time - certainly the Whammy did not have that. I would recommend checking out the manual or other online descriptions of this function. In excellent condition, as is the box and manual inside. One little thingy: The dual volume pot on the left was broken off when I got this, and the knob set was also not included. I replaced the pot, but the knob set was special design made for Boss. I used to be able to get these knob sets only from a supplier in Australia, but due to tariff insanity they will no longer ship to the US. So, the upper little knob is opposite (pointing 180 degrees off) compared to the bottom (you can reverse the bottom knob if you want to also be 180 degrees off if you wanted). But this otherwise works perfectly.
