The Rocktron Hush is a noise-cancelling effects pedal designed to eliminate hiss, hum, and unwanted noise from your guitar or bass signal chain without choking your sustain. You get a true bypass pedal with a single threshold control that sets the level at which the noise reduction circuit engages. The Hush uses Rocktron's proprietary dynamic filtering technology, which is designed to track your playing and silence noise only when you're not playing, preserving your tone and sustain. It runs on standard 9V DC power or a 9V battery.
Connect it at the end of your pedal chain or after your high-gain pedals to clean up your sound, or put it early in the chain to help clean up hum from single-coil pickups. The threshold knob lets you dial in just enough noise reduction to quiet the rig without cutting off notes prematurely. Unlike a traditional noise gate that can feel like it's choking your playing, the Hush is designed to be more transparent, clamping down on noise during pauses and letting your notes ring out naturally, with minimal impact on tone.
