This is such a fun box of nastiness. It's a fuzz, or a distortion that leans in that direction, paired with a dynamic filter. The result is a disgusting raspy, snarly, square-wave-synth type tone that's filthy on bass and also upsetting on guitar. This is the early-90s big box version, which is pretty tricky to find these days.
