Description

The Chase Bliss Warped Vinyl HiFi is an all-analog chorus/vibrato pedal that simulates a warped vinyl record using true pitch modulation on a 1024-stage bucket-brigade device (BBD). It delivers that classic BBD warmth, grit, and touch-responsive noise, going from tight vibrato to wide chorus via the Lag knob, which separates wet and dry signals for more interference and lush tones. The Modushape section lets you split and shape the waveform for custom motions like asymmetrical pulses or sloping ripples.Hold mode freezes the effect for pauses or ramps any/all knobs for bursts of modulation. It has internal ramping, 2 presets, tap tempo with subdivisions, and external tap support. Controls include MIDI (PC, CC, Clock), CV, and expression, plus momentary or latching true bypass. Note it's discontinued, but Chase Bliss offers lifetime warranty repairs.Power it with 9V center negative at around 100 mA; it runs hot signals best at lower input levels to avoid BBD clipping—back off your guitar volume or use a send/return loop if needed. Reduced noise compared to earlier versions makes it more transparent.SpecificationsAll-analog signal path with true bypass1024-stage bucket-brigade chip for true pitch modulationPresets (2); internal modulation (ramping)MIDI (PC, CC, Clock); CV control; expression controlTap tempo with subdivisions; external tap; Hold mode9V center negative ~100 mACondition This item has been tested and is in good working condition.
