Description

The MXR M116 Fullbore Metal delivers super high-gain distortion with a three-band EQ, sweepable mids via the Freq knob from 200 Hz to 5 kHz, and controls for Low, Mid, and High. It has a Scoop switch that boosts lows and highs for a nu-metal scooped sound while keeping EQ active, plus a switchable Noise Gate to tighten up syncopated riffs and cut noise.Volume and Gain knobs handle output and drive levels. True hardwire bypass keeps your signal clean when off. Power it with a 9V battery or adapter; draws 18 mA. Gate sensitivity adjusts via an internal trim pot for dialing in threshold. It's built dynamic, so start with Gain and Lows low to avoid overwhelming your amp. Works for crushing rhythms, leads, or tuned-down stuff with the Gate on.
