The Darkglass Microtubes X7 brings a studio-inspired approach to bass distortion, splitting your signal into dedicated high- and low-pass paths for unmatched control over texture and clarity. Dial in the High Pass Frequency (100Hz–1kHz) to determine exactly what gets distorted—from thick, wooly saturation to razor-sharp grind—then shape it with High Drive and High Level. On the low side, the Low Pass Frequency (50Hz–500Hz) blends clean foundation back into the signal, while Low Comp and Low Level preserve punch, depth, and consistency.
An active four-band EQ with ±12dB at 80Hz, 500Hz, 1kHz, and 5kHz allows precise tone sculpting, and the Master control sets overall output. Compact yet powerful, the X7 runs on a regulated 9V DC center-negative supply (100mA draw). From articulate high gain to raw, gnarly fuzz, it delivers total command over distortion size, definition, and low-end authority.
