A classic transformed into something new, versatile and dope as hell. Middle footswitch: stock Big Muff Pi. Left: Green Ringer analog octave up with a green LED. Right: silicon Rangemaster treble booster. I'm particularly proud of this treble booster, I've found the perfect low-gain silicon transistor and tested it exhaustively against my OC44 germanium treble booster to get it sounding quite close. It's controlled by a volume knob on top of the pedal, and a mini toggle that lets you choose between the classic Rangemaster sound (great for humbuckers/P90s) and one with a little more midrange (great for single coils). The Green Ringer has no controls, simple on-off operation. For the most pronounced octave up effect, use your neck pickup and play near the 12th fret. All three effects can be used independently or together, and are true bypass. The old 1/8" power jack has been replaced with a modern barrel jack, and the pedal runs on battery or DC power. All of these modifications done by hand with quality through-hole components in the USA. Please check out the demo video!Cosmetically this unit has some surface scratches and looks like any big-box Muff that's been around the block a few times. Rock and roll, yeah?(If you are interested in a similar build with a different combination of circuits, follow me on Instagram and send me a message and we’ll see what‘s possible…)
