Description

The EarthQuaker Devices Plumes Small Signal Shredder is an all-analog overdrive with three clipping modes via a toggle switch: symmetrical LED clipping for crunchy British amp-like tones, no-diode OpAmp drive for clean boost, and asymmetrical silicon clipping for transparent Screamer-style warmth with clarity and lower output. It runs on JFET OpAmps for high headroom, low noise, and 10 MΩ input impedance that keeps your tone articulate. Controls are straightforward—Gain for drive amount, Tone that sweeps bass to treble with mid focus, and Level for output.
Flexi-Switch relay-based switching lets you do latching or momentary operation, but it needs power to pass signal even in bypass. The reimagined tone stack gives blooming sustain, clear highs, and sculpted lows that push tube amps without mud. It's versatile from clean boost to heavy dirt, stays dynamic, and pairs well with overdriven amps for extra grind.
