The Wampler Tumnus Deluxe is a transparent overdrive based on the Klon Centaur circuit, with added flexibility from a 3-band active EQ for bass, mids, and treble. It has level and gain knobs, plus a Normal/Hot switch that boosts gain for more saturation and sustain. Side-mounted switch lets you choose true bypass for clean signal path or buffered bypass, which can enhance tone even when off. Works great as a boost, always-on sweetener, or full overdrive with amp-like breakup and string clarity.Active EQ uses gyrator-style controls where bass and mids are flat at noon, letting you cut or boost to shape tone precisely through any rig. Treble control matches the original Tumnus. Gain knob blends in a parallel clean signal as you dial it back, keeping things articulate.
