Electro-Harmonix DeluxeMemory Man 1998This pedal has been modified by Howard Davis. Howard Davis, the original designer of the Deluxe Memory Man (DMM) pedal, offered several custom modifications for vintage "big box" units. This DMM Pico circuitboard and the MN3005 chips. The Panasonic MN3005 analog delay chips are known for producing a warm, rich, and often sought-after tone. The date of an EH DMM (Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man) can often be determined by the code on its circuit board. The PICO HB 9825 code indicates that the circuit board was manufactured in 1998, in the 25th week. The last two digits of the first number (98) usually represent the year, and the last two digits (25) represent the week of that year. This places the pedal as an older "reissue" model, manufactured after the original run that ended in the mid-1980s and before the late 2000s when new chips were introduced. This has the attached power supply that’s been shortened and replaced with a newer 3 prong adapter. This pedal has been modified by Howard Davis. His modifications focus on improving the quality and functionality of the pedals he originally designed. Mods and upgradesRepairs and cleaning up the signal:Fixes common issues like noise floor, volume drop, and distortion.Increases headroom and headroom.Corrects and calibrates the pedal's internal settings.Increased delay time:Increases the maximum delay time beyond the original specification, often to over 650ms.Input/Output modifications:Adds a "true bypass" mod to eliminate the volume drop issue when the effect is engaged.Modifies input impedance to prevent pickup loading and retain tone, especially with long cable runs.Other functional upgrades:Adds an LED indicator to show if the pedal is engaged.Fix repeats to prevent them from turning into an overblown distortion noise. This DMM has way more output and delay time than my AnalogMan modded DMM. I have two now, so I am parting with this one. The only real reason is because of the attached power cord is an inconvenience to me. My AnalogMan DDM I can power with my power supply on my pedalboard. Trust me it was a hard decision to make. Please look over the photos and read the complete description. Please ask questions if you have any. No box.Has Velcro on the bottom and is missing two side screws. Will ship continental United States.I ship as fast as possible!
