The Solar Bender uses three selected and tested NOS PNP germanium transistors. These transistors require a power supply with a different polarity than modern pedals. For your convenience, the Solar Bender is equipped with a charge pump that acts as a polarity reversal circuit. This allows you to power it with a standard 9V adapter (center negative) and even daisy-chain it with other pedals.
