This very 'First Version' of this pedal comes with the original box and instructions. Fresh out of a smoke free recording studio it has very little use and my technician of 38 years gives it 2 thumbs up after testing and cleaning. Works and functions as it should. A RARE find in this condition these days.I remember selling all these pedals 'new' back in the 70's when they all came out!___________________________________________________________________________________________________The Electro-Harmonix Micro Synthesizer was first released in 1979 and has been through several different versions over its production history, created to produce analog synthesizer sounds for guitar and bass. Different versions have distinct tonal characteristics, power supplies, and build features that distinguish them from each other. Vintage "Big Box" versions:These original, analog Micro Synthesizers were produced in large metal enclosures and are known for their raw, aggressive tone. V1 (1979): This initial version lacked an on/off switch on the back and featured a footswitch on the left side of the pedal. It did not have an LED indicator and the "square wave" slider was labeled "distortion". It featured a warm, powerful square wave and a less prominent sub-octave, as well as a poorer bypass than modern versions._______________________________________________________________________________________________We've got a large stock of unique effects newly added to our listings!
