Up for sale is a vintage reissue prototype/salesman sample big box Proco Rat distortion pedal That was acquired directly from the man himself, Steve Kiraly. I purchased this from a former Switchcraft employee that had made a trade with Steve himself to acquire 3 of these wonderful pedals! I had bought the last one. This was directly from Steve’s desk, possibly a sales prototype that was mounted on display, as you can tell from the holes on the bottom. This has the OP07 chip in it and I compared It to a vintage Rat pedal from 1979 with the LM308 chip and they almost sound identical but a little more brighter and crisper and chimey. If this doesn’t sell I’m perfectly happy to keep it. This will be packed professionally and shipped with insurance.
