Up for sale, a 2007 Analog Man Sun Face in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This early Sun Face is an original variant, built around a pair of the legendary, highly sought-after NKT275 “white dot” germanium transistors. The Sun Face easily ranks among the most lauded modern boutique fuzz pedals on the market, one of the hand-built designs responsible for Analog Man’s unmatched pedigree, and their NKT275-loaded iterations are particularly rare, given the fact that the company ran out of their stock of the vintage NOS transistors back in 2011. The NKT275s were the transistors used in the original Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face, and this pedal is known for delivering thick, churning, low-end-centric “wooly” fuzz that offers tons of push and meatiness without losing note definition. Additionally, the white dots specifically clean up particularly well, all the way to a smooth, sparkling clean when backing off your guitar’s volume knob. The circuit is untouched (powered by internal 9V battery), and this is a clean example, with just a few faint marks on the outside of the gold enclosure. The interior of the baseplate is signed by Mike Piera and dated to May, 2007.
