The Unpleasant Surprise here is actually a fun little fuzz pedal with some unique controls for dialing in your effect. It requires a 9v power supply which is not included, and doesn't use a battery. Volume and Onset parameters are controlled by knobs, while switches allow you to enable a treble cut, open / saturated amp bias, and a crush effect (the amount of which is affected by the Onset knob). It's in great shape.
