The Analog Man modified Maxon SD-9 (SD-9/Super) is a highly praised version of the classic SD-9, with Analog Man making the powerful and sometimes harsh tone control more manageable. It retains the stock pedal's excellent bass response, clarity, and ability to produce classic 80s distortion tones, while also adding more clarity at lower volumes and sustain. The stock SD-9 can be aggressive, especially into a clean amp, but the modified version offers a smoother sound while keeping the core characteristics. I bought this from Ben Eunson in NYC, if you haven’t heard of him yet, you will soon. He’s an incredibly talented fusion player, definitely worth checking out!And if you’re not familiar with Analogman mods, give them a quick Google. Otherwise, you already know what you’re looking at 😎🤘🏻
