Description

Tech 21 Sansamp Bass Driver Deluxe Serial Number: 37959CONDITION: Excellent, Super Clean and Tested, no Dings or heavy marks shows just the slightest wear. Includes the Box and Paperwork too. This truly is a must Have Pedal for Bass and Guitar Players !Tech 21 Disctiption:The original Bass Driver was a huge success amongst studio and live players and during a time when home recording wasn’t as simple as it is today with the thousands of plugins available, bass recording often needed an amp to warm up the bass signal. Which is where the original pedal was such a godsend; players no longer had to carry amps when recording. But times change as do player requirements so this latest unit seeks to improve upon the original Bass Driver and the more recently released programmable version. For those not familiar with the earlier units, the controls allow the signal to be warmed up combining tube amp emulation circuitry (Blend control) along with EQ adjustments (Bass, Treble and Presence controls) and a degree of overdrive with the Drive control. Along with the tonal adjustments available, the unit also serves as a DI box as it comes equipped with a balanced XLR Out, a Parallel Out (for use with a tuner if required), FX Send and FX Return sockets and a standard jack output. The recent programmable unit came with one input and allowed three channel presets to be stored; however this new deluxe model allows two basses to be connected via separate jack inputs. Each bass input has three presets or, should you require it, using one bass input allows six presets to be stored. Very useful if your repertoire requires different EQ settings or varying amounts of distortion and tube emulated warmth. In operation, the furthest right stomp switch allows movement between the two separate input banks so stomping once moves you from bank A to bank B, stomp again moves you back to A but stomp again and you are moved to the FX loop. This is because the unit allows an externally connected effect to be engaged when a specifi c SansAmp preset is selected. To create a preset is simple and intuitive; experiment with the controls to create the sound you are after but once one control has passed its current setting on the preset currently selected, the preset LED will fl ash, indicating that a setting has changed. Should you wish to save the settings, you simply press the stomp switch twice to store the control settings as they currently stand. The LEDs fl ash together and your preset is stored. Simple, eh! Three smaller push buttons below the controls provide a Boost to the boost the XLR output and a phantom power/ground selector switch. The unit can be powered in three ways: by the phantom power option (i.e. through a PA connected XLR lead), a 9-volt battery or a standard power supply. Not only is this a DI box and a tone/drive/EQ stomp box, it can also be used as the preamp front end for a cabinet/ power amp setup so its fl exibility is particularly pleasing. Using two basses on a gig can be problematic where both instruments have different volume and EQ ranges. However, connecting both basses to this unit before the amp, it is possible to set both instruments with a similar level making matters a little more transparent. Considering buying a separate SansAmp Bass Driver and line selecting unit? Now you can buy this unit and potentially save spavce on your pedal board.FEATURES:A user friendly equalizer that allows you to adjusting the strength of certain frequencies within a signal.
