DOD's FX56 American Metal is a high gain distortion pedal produced from the late-1980s through mid-1990s. At the time of release, it was the highest gain and highest output pedal in DOD's line, and was designed and voiced to compete with the Boss HM-2 Heavy Metal distortion. Were it not for the missing knob toppers and battery cover I might call this Very Good condition since it is free from major scratches or fading and still has the original label and no residue or peeling, but there are still small imperfections and marks on the pedal noticeable up close.
