Description

This pedal is in overall very good condition. The electronics function properly and quietly. There are some light scuffs/scratches on the case from use. Please reference the photos for physical condition, as they are part of the item description.Boosted leads, smoldering crunch tones, and light distortion are three of our favorite ways to put the Maxon OD-9 Overdrive pedal to work! But hold your screams right there; the OD-9 doesn’t simply clone a famous circuit. It’s the real deal, having been made in Japan with consistent parts that whip up the same tube-like kick to the amp that made Maxon overdrive circuits a cornerstone of countless pedalboards and hit songs. The OD-9 features the same JRC4558 IC chip as early units. Moreover, the hardware features slight updates for improved performance, including a low-noise footswitch and true bypass switching for seamless transitions. Our gigging pros noticed there’s even a new high-visibility LED. Unlike with older units and similar clones, you can glance at the Maxon OD-9 and immediately tell if the pedal is bypassed.Delivers the same hot tube-like color of the original OD-9 with the ability to cover drive, boost, crunch, and light distortion tonesContains a genuine JRC4558 IC chip — an important marker of authenticity!True bypass switching helps maintain tone quality when toggling on or offLED status indicator for easy visual referenceAccepts 1 x 9V battery or a standard AC pedal power supply (sold separately)No-tool battery compartment makes battery replacement fast and easy in a pinchMade in Japan
