This pedal is a faithful recreation of the legendary Roland RE-201 Space Echo - a multi-tap tape delay machine that also featured a small spring reverb unit to make it an all in one ambience generator. Having heard and used a real RE-201 in the studio, as well as having owned the older Boss RE-20 and now both a Strymon Volante and El Capistan, I can confidently say that all of the extensive research Boss did in the process of creating the new algorithms for this pedal definitely paid off! This is the easily the closest thing to a genuine Space Echo as it gets right now, and it's a cool and unique sound. Not only that but this new style enclosure is simply stunning, and it's hands down one of the coolest looking pedals I've ever owned. Unfortunately I just have too many delay pedals at the moment, and this one just isn't getting used as much as it deserves right now.Condition is legitimately mint and indistinguishable from a brand-new pedal, and comes with the original power supply, all the original manuals and papers, and the original box. That box will be bubble wrapped with way more bubble wrap than is probably necessary, placed in a bigger box, and will ship USPS Priority with tracking to ensure it arrives quickly and undamaged.
