Rebuilt by Pete’s PedalsChip and pot codes date this to 1975. Fully restored and sounding amazing. Had three issues: faulty footswitch, a dead gain pot and bad capacitors. The Gain pot has an odd value -1 meg with a reverse audio taper. It also has 4 PC mount legs and a longer 3/8" bushing (the threaded part) which created enough separation between the board and the enclosure to clear the switches and other components. Only available part with the correct size pot and bushing was this NOS long-shafted one, designed to be cut to the needed size. Easy enough to use the stock washers to mound this at the correct height. With the capacitors, one was totally dead (read as a 150ohm resistor!), and two were drifted badly. Replaced those and tested the chips and tone caps (which help regulate the top and bottom ranges of the envelope sweep) and all those were good, as was that sweet all-metal optocoupler. I also replaced the output jack and grounded it.Finally, when the switch fails on these I like to replace them with a nice soft-touch switch and do true bypass wiring. In stock form the audio signal still goes through the gain pot when the effect is bypassed. Not very handy. The true bypass, and the accompanying LED, make this much more useful in a pedal chain. II am including a new aftermarket adapter. Lets you use your power brick (cable for that is also included) or a standard, neg center 9v power adapter (not included) to get the dual neg and pos power to the effect. Very handy. There is lotsa Jerry G. packed into these things, but also many other sounds from mild to serious quack. You will be hard pressed to find one that works his well for this price. In very good cosmetic condition with no battery damage in there. That being said, do NOT have batteries installed when using the adapter. Causes the batteries to overheat and pop/leak, the number one cause of battery damage in these old birds.
