The goal wasn't to simply build another distortion pedal, but rather to bring a completely new approach to distortion tones. The Riverside's cascading gain stages create harmonically rich, immensely musical and natural tones, from crystal-clear clean to extreme distortion and everything in between. The analog input and output sections (JFET) ensure that the Riverside responds to your guitar with uncompromising dynamics and feel. The extreme precision of the custom DSP generates dynamic complexity and pleasing harmonics at every stage, allowing the amp to respond optimally at any gain setting. The Riverside takes your amp to a whole new dimension! The Riverside's continuously variable circuitry dynamically controls multiple parameters within the pedal, so you can hit the sweet spot at any gain setting. As you turn the Drive knob, the Riverside continuously adjusts, fine-tuning the circuit for the best possible sound. It also features two operating modes that can be easily combined via two mini switches on the front panel: Low Gain/Hi Gain and Normal/Mid Push.
